Pete Chavez, Private Investigator
My law enforcement experience spans over 36 years, of which 23 years were spent conducting criminal, civil, and administrative investigations. While employed with the Fresno County Sheriffs Office, I was assigned to the Robbery Homicide Division where I was chief investigator on over fifty homicide cases. During my tenure at the Fresno County District Attorneys Office, I aided prosecutors in homicide, robbery, and fraud cases as a member of the felony trial team. My investigations at the DAs Office included officer involved shootings and employee misconduct cases. In 2007 I was promoted to Chief of Investigations at the Fresno County District Attorneys Office where I was placed in charge of the Investigative Bureau, which consisted of over fifty sworn peace officers. I retired from the Fresno County District Attorneys Office as Chief in 2011.
